Michael, politically, what would you consider yourself to be? If to be a libertarian is to be BOTH fiscally conservative to the right of Republicans and socially to the left of liberals, then why do you ONLY piss on the left? Shouldn’t you also piss on the right as well? I never see that from you. In fact, I see you go out of your way to piss on the left on the majority of your postings. You even have a category for postings as “damn liberals”. Is there a category for “damn cons”? Don’t you think this is very one-sided?
I consider myself a libertarian Republican.
Some Republicans piss me off. Though these days, MOST Democrats (and all “progressive” Democrats) piss me off, a lot.
If the conservative Democrat Governor of Wyoming runs again, I’m going to vote for him. He’s very into gun rights and very into keeping out Federal intrusion.

Also take into account that we libertarians are socially “liberal” in a “mind my own business, mind your own” way. Liberals expect you to suddendly love everybody, and also diminish people thinking that they aren’t capable enough to pull their own weight belittling them with crappy programs in the name of “tolerance” and “egalitarianism”.
That’s why the lef is so attacked in my opinion.
Someone once asked me what a libertarian was, wanting a quick answer. I was at a booth on a college campus in Utah representing the Libertarian Party of Utah (back when I joined groups and before I realized that the LP is just a glorified debate club). So I said:
Libertarians are hippies with guns and businesses.
Later, someone asked me what the libertarian philosophy on race and civil rights was. I summed that up thusly:
The price of freedom is tolerance. In order to be free, I must tolerate things about you that I might not like, but you have to do the same for me. We all have to be equal, so if you are free to denounce those who make racist remarks, those racists have to be free to make their remarks in the first place.
“Libertarians are hippies with guns and businesses.” I like that.
I’ve also heard “Libertarianism is anarchy for rich people.”

“A Republican that likes porn.”
A quote from a former co-worker. He wasn’t being too serious but it made me chuckle.
“A Republican who OPENLY likes porn.”
My Lawyer: “A republican who likes to get stoned.” Thats why he’s my lawyer.
Enjoying your comments, man! keep it up. Sorry too busy (editing “guns and weed: the road to freedom”) to respond much, but glad you found us.
How’d you find us, sir?
