Michael W. Dean and Neema Vedadi talk about how the Freedom Feens now has streaming audio, they talk about why the right to bear arms is infinitely more important than the “right” to vote, how voting is basically a suggestion box strung up in the cotton field by our slave masters, and what anarchy is. They talk about a dream of being armed and naked in school, the irony of getting a “you don’t own this” claim on a video called “I own me”, the personal politics of smashing guitars and burning money, the joys of saying goodbye to old statist childish things, why we need DMSO caffeine swabs to go with our electronic cigarettes, why “Freemasons run the country”, why a cafe owner booted a cop from his business, why anarcho-capitalists are generally better public speakers and better at defining and articulating their motives than left-anarchists, and tyrannical ballistic fingerprinting system patents for sale on eBay. Then Neema talks about the census tyrannizing him with the American Community Survey even after he filled out the regular census, and Michael explains why his home studio vocal booth is a sacred place.

I stopped smoking recently. Started doing electronic cigarettes. E-ciggs have all the yummy nicotine with none of the smoke. I have never really been able to get off smoking before, but I have now, and I love these. And it’s about half the price of ciggs.

I never “endorse” a product I don’t use, but I use e-ciggs, and I’m LOVING VaporSmiths. I’ve tried a few different e-ciggs and these are the best, and are inexpensive. And the guy who runs the company is a liberty guy. What more could you ask for?

Hey Ya’ll! I’m Neema Vedadi, Co-creator of Guns and Weed: The Road to Freedom and co-host of the Freedom Feens Podcast, I’ll be contributing to Libertarian Punk with blog posts every now and then. I need a new outlet for my anti-statism, to keep my day job as a mainstream TV reporter from driving me insane. I love guns, freedom, and music but I hate all governments.

NEEMA VEDADI

Neema Vedadi is a television journalist and independent media producer. He won the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters award for Best News Piece in 2010 and now lives and works in Washington State. Guns and Weed: The Road to Freedom the documentary Neema co-produced with Michael W. Dean has been screened worldwide and has DVD distribution from MVD Visual. Neema is also a libertarian hip-hop artist. His anthem “I Own Me” has received 18,000 views. In his free time he enjoys relaxing with his wife Jessica and their two “fur-children”: an orange cat named Phlocken and a one-eyed Alaskan Malamute named Yukon. Neema hopes to one day raise a family in the Texas hill country.

I’ve recently become involved with an organization in Ghana, Africa called “Africa Youth Peace Call.” They do good work teaching liberty on a continent where food is scarce and malaria & armed conflicts are not uncommon. The average yearly income in Ghana is about $1300 USD. (And for a citizen to own a gun for protection, they have to pay the government a licensing fee of $32,000 USD and a yearly renewal of $14,000 USD!)

Africa Youth Peace Call is legit and on the level (I did my checking around) and I have that from people at the USA orgs International Society for Individual Liberty (who’ve had a member, Louis James, go to Ghana to work with Africa Youth Peace Call), Peace, Freedom and Prosperity Movement, and the Foundation for Economic Education. Africa Youth Peace Call has also received a prestigious award from the free-trade organization, the International Policy Network.

I made a donation of $50 to Africa Youth Peace Call, and encourage others to do the same, even if you can’t send that much. At the risk of sounding like one of those cheesy socialist TV commercials, “even a few dollars will help a lot.” Donations are tax-deductible and can be made through the American non-profit organization that works with them, International Society for Individual Liberty. (I had a great talk with Jim Elwood from that org tonight on the phone. He used to own Laissez Faire Books and has been a libertarian almost as long as I’ve been alive.)
